Cristina Drios was born in Lisbon in 1969.

The short stories Histórias Indianas won in 2012 the literary prize Prémio Literário do Campo Alegre “Novo Autor, Primero Livro” of Fundação Ciência e Desenvolvimento / Câmara Municipal do Porto, published by Editora Objectiva.

The same year, Os Olhos de Tirésias, her debut novel, published by Teorema, was shortlisted for the Prémio LeYa and won the Portuguese Selection of the 27th Edition of the Festival of the First Novel of Chambéry.

In 2016, the short story A Mãe was selected to integrate the collection O País Invisível du Centro Mário Cláudio.

Adoração (Teorema/LeYa), finished in 2016 during a literary residence at Ventspils Translator’s and Writer’s House in Letonia, is her second novel.
